5 Tips to Get a Your Summer Body

By Peter Minkoff

Having a shredded body is a process that takes time. You cannot achieve this look overnight, but if you’re diligent and hard-working enough, you might be able to do that in the shortest time possible. However, there are certain things that you need to have in mind, so we came up with a list of five most important tips and tricks that you should follow if you want those muscles to look sexy. So, what can you do?

Mind the calories

Of course, the first step is to pay attention to calorie intake. There is a specific amount of calories that you are supposed to eat and drink during the day, so make sure not to go over it – the key is to consume fewer calories than your body burns. Paying attention to what you eat is the key here – make sure to eat low-calorie food and avoid drinking any beverages that are rich in calories, such as milkshakes and similar drinks. Since it’s also important to eat regularly during the day (take a look at the second tip), you really need to choose food that’s good for you, such as plenty of vegetables, healthy fats (found in fish, for example) and fruit.

Eat regularly

off the mrkt fitness.jpg

You might think that it’s only a regular fitness routine that matters, but this is where you’re wrong. It’s also very important to increase the frequency of your meals. This will definitely help you shred your body, even though it might not seem so. Make sure to space evenly throughout the day your intake of lean proteins, healthy fats and complex carbohydrates (also known as fats) – this will boost your metabolism and shred your muscles. This works in a very simple way – in order to digest food, our body burns fat. This means that if we eat three times a day, our body will spend calories while digesting those three meals. If we, however, eat six meals a day, it means that we will burn more calories.

Use supplements

Another way in which you can help your body produce those amazing muscles that you want is to use supplements before or after each workout. There are different types of supplements on the market, so it’s good to know which pre or post workout supplements you want and need. Whey protein will, for example, help you rebuild your muscle and also increase the protein intake which is always good, BCAA contains three important amino acids that will speed up your recovery and enhance your performance, while CLA will reduce your body fat and help you convert food into energy. Pay attention to the diet, though, as supplements will not do their magic unless you eat the things you are supposed to eat.

Drink water

off the mrkt fitness.jpg

You’re probably heard this more than once, but drinking the sufficient amount of water per day is equally important. Once our body gets dehydrated, we will mistake thirst for hunger, so we are more prone to eating unnecessary meals. What you can do once you feel hungry is drink a glass of water and wait 15 minutes to see if you’re actually hungry or you had only been thirsty. You can also opt for black coffee or green tea as they will boost your metabolism, but that doesn’t mean you should cut down on water.

Lift heavy weights

Contrary to popular belief, lifting lighter weights and doing more reps will not shred your muscles properly. The heavier the weights are, the more energy you will need, so you will burn more calories which is essential for muscle shredding. However, you need to pay attention to lifting them in the right way, as you can get easily injured, which is something you want to avoid.

As you can see, it’s not only going to the gym and exercising that’s important for shredding muscles. You need to pay attention to what you eat, use the proper supplements, and keep track of your calories. Follow these steps and you will definitely have the Instagram body that you’ve always wanted!

Maxi dresses have been a massive hit in the fashion industry for years now, and guess what? They will still be going strong in 2019 as well, so make sure to buy at least one before your summer vacation. As for the prints, we must say that floral ones will be predominant this year, and this shouldn’t surprise you at all simply because florals have always been perfect for hot summer weather. Of course, you can match your stunning maxi dress either with a pair of trendy wedges or a pair of knee-high leather gladiators. One thing is certain – you’ll look absolutely smashing no matter what!

A trendy cover-up

Speaking of your beach outfits, we can’t emphasize enough the importance of a good cover-up – a piece that has gained a lot of popularity over the last couple of years. Kimono is undoubtedly a great choice, so be sure to take jewel tones like emerald green, ruby red, or sapphire blue into consideration because they will help you stand out from the crowd. On the other hand, if you prefer more neutral, toned-down shades, you won’t go wrong with a sandy beige one. Stylish kimonos that feature intricate embroidery are also a fantastic choice, and these can even help you transition from your daywear to dinner wear like a true fashionista!

A pair of stylish leather sandals

Even though you’ll probably be going barefoot for the most of time, you simply need to have a pair of stylish leather sandals in your suitcase. This is particularly true for flat strappy sandals with interesting details such as gold studs, as you can combine them with literally anything that comes to your mind. From mini and maxi dresses to romantic playsuits, these studded leather sandals will take any outfit to a whole new level. Does it get better than that? Well, yes, it does, as these are extremely comfortable at the same time. Just get a pair with a soft, cushioned sole and you’ll be able to wear them for hours, enjoying your vacation to the max!

The statement jumpsuit

A statement jumpsuit is another must-have that deserves its rightful place in your suitcase – especially if you’ll have one ‘special occasion’ night that requires a stylish outfit which isn’t too formal. A colorful jumpsuit that features trendy graphic print is probably the best possible choice out there, as it’s both romantic and sexy at the same time. This is exactly why you should pick this piece and save it for that special night. As for the model, you should pick one according to your body shape and personal preferences, but we must say that a combination of a heart-shaped strapless top and wide-leg bottom is a killer one!

A fabulous straw bag

Last but definitely not least, a top-notch straw bag is unavoidable when it comes to your summer vacation. This piece is extremely cute yet so versatile, and it can be your accessory of choice no matter where you go. So, if you want to chill by the pool, just throw your sunglasses, sunscreen, your favorite book, and a trendy kimono into your new straw bag and nail your flawless pool look. The same goes for meeting your gals for a brunch – or maybe a happy hour in the beach bar. This amazing bag can transform your ordinary outfits into fabulous, stylish ones, so don’t skip it this summer and you’ll see what we were talking about!

Each of these five fashion items is an absolute must-have, so be sure to get at least a few of them before you hit the road for your perfect summer vacation. Just pick garments and accessories according to your personal taste and you won’t make a mistake!
